A skippered sailing boat comes with a skipper who sails the boat and is responsible for the yacht.

Yes. There is a local professional crew of 2: 1 skipper and 1 well-trained mariner.

Above all else, the skipper is responsible for the safety of the crew, the travellers and the vessel. He is also responsible for the maintenance of the systems.

A skipper works a maximum of eight hours at sea, but on multi-day trips he is in charge of the boat’s safety, which might keep him awake all night if the circumstances require it.

And he is the hospitable host who will answer all of your questions.

A deckhand cook is always part of the crew during your sailing trip, preparing authentic, simple but delicious Greek dishes, served with water, wine, soft drinks and of course snacks. The deckhand also keeps the sailboat clean during your trip.

When you travel, safety is a top priority. Greece remains a very peaceful country, and our boat is fully equipped and insured according to EU regulations.

No hidden fees at all! The yacht with all its equipment, the skipper’s and deckhand cook’s fees, VAT and insurance are included in the agreed price.

Once we agree, the next step is a 50% deposit. You can pay by bank transfer, by valid credit card or in cash.

To process and confirm the booking we need:

• Possible dates
• Area of interest
• Mobile phone number
• E-mail address
• Passport or EU ID number

Your information is stored in a secure data service and may be shared with the Port Authorities and the insurance company to comply with EU and Greek insurance regulations. It is not shared with any third parties.

For multi-day trips, you will be asked to sign a charter agreement on board, which is registered with the coast guard so that the insurance is valid under Greek law.

1. Cancellation at least 7 days before the trip: the full payment is refunded.
2. Cancellation 3–7 days before the trip: 50% of the payment is refunded.
3. Cancellation 3 days or less before the trip, or a no-show: no refund.

1. At least 60 days before the trip: the full payment is refunded.
2. 50–59 days before: 70% is refunded.
3. 40–49 days before: 50% is refunded.
4. 30–39 days before: 30% is refunded.
5. 29 days or less before the trip, or a no-show: no refund.

Focus only on your personal belongings. Sun protection is a must — keep in mind that the Greek sun is very strong. Beach towels are always useful.

In theory our yacht is certified by its designers to sail in all weather conditions, but because our activities are customised for cruising, the insurance companies and the authorities have adjusted their terms accordingly — so we cannot sail when the wind is strong.

As everything depends on the weather, the captain’s knowledge and skills are needed to set or change the itinerary and the schedule of daily trips. Night sailing is not allowed, except as a matter of safety.

For 2-day or multi-day trips, our skippers will give you directions when we stop at a nice anchorage, and they can arrange a rental if you wish to drive around. Dinners are not included in the price and are taken ashore, because Greek food is part of the Greek lifestyle experience.

Daily cruises start at 10:00 am, or at another suggested time for a group of people (friends, family, etc.).

“Nireas” is moored at the marina of the new port of Skiathos — opposite the park.

The best period is from 1 May until the end of September. The peak season is from 1 July to the end of August.

Skiathos is the only island in the Sporades with an airport, so it is a popular starting point for cruising around the islands.
